From the Director

When Jesus described the world mission field to His disciples, He said in (Matthew 9:37-39) – “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into His harvest field.” These words were direct and precise then, and their message as well as effectiveness is still valid and powerful today. Presently, the world’s harvest fields must be tended! Lost souls are crying out for something real in the midst of great deception and darkness! The message of the gospel has become watered down in many settings under the banner of “relevance,” and moral decay has become accepted and promoted as normal. John Wesley once said, “What one generation tolerates, the next one will embrace.” With this being the condition of this hour in history, the only thing that can and will bring lasting change and freedom is for the Lord’s equipped messengers to carry forth the words of life in order to gather in those who need to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ!

To FIRE School of Ministry, this commission and calling is a reality! We feel a distinct responsibility and mandate from the Lord to give ourselves to effectively equip you to become one who will hear and answer this vital call to “go and reap the harvest.” As the Apostle Paul poured himself into Timothy in order to mentor and equip him for the Lord’s service, our heart is to follow this pattern of disciple making with you. We realize that it is not enough just to provide a place for theological learning alone. Though this is clearly important and part of what we do here at FSM, we believe that, more importantly, we must assist in the broader development of leaders who are radical followers of Jesus and who understand and respond to the cry and incredible need of this generation and modern culture which is; a revolutionary spiritual awakening!

During your time at FSM, you will experience an exciting, encouraging, faith-building, and challenging environment. You will know times of refreshing, as well as times of pruning, and both of these mandatory seasons will produce character and faith in you while you’re developing as a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our heart is that of the Apostle Paul, who stated in (Philippians 4:9), “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” We purpose to live a godly life before you and with you while you are here, so that true hands-on mentoring and equipping can and will occur. We realize that spiritual and practical ministry training must be experienced for you to be effectively equipped as a leader and we commit to you to provide an environment here at FSM that will allow and encourage both of these to take place during your tenure with us.

Above all else, at FSM we pledge to be men and women of integrity, purity and commitment. Our lives will reflect the Lord’s love and holiness as we endeavor to walk in humility and faithfulness, so that God’s glory will be resident on this campus and in our lives. We will be careful not to ever take the Lord and His presence for granted, and we challenge you to do the same while you are here with us, as well as in the years to come. Let us always be in awe when it comes to the God that we serve and His desire to reveal Himself to us as His people and laborers.

Lastly, let me say that I am honored to serve as the Director of FSM. Your spiritual growth and development will be my embraced burden during your time with us, and I will keep you lifted up in prayer before the Lord incessantly. May our hearts burn brightly with passion for Jesus, and let us grow together into His image and likeness as we enter the harvest fields of this generation!

All for Jesus,
