Immersion is a required event which occurs one week prior to the start of every Fall semester at a retreat center in the mountains of North Carolina. It is a total “immersion” in God, community, and FIRE’s spiritual culture. This key time provides a great opportunity to build relationships with other students, FIRE staff, and faculty members. It also serves to lay a foundation for the upcoming semester. A similar event is also held before the start of each Spring semester, and takes place in the Charlotte area.
